Personal Growth Coaching Sessions

You don’t need to know exactly what you want to work on before we meet.

Our first session is a chance to start with what’s happening in your life, get to know one another, and see what it feels like to work together.

Bring what has been taking up your attention. We’ll start there.

Your First Session

The first session is a chance for us to get to know one another while we begin talking about whatever brought you in.

I’ll want to understand what has been happening, what feels important to you, and some of the experiences or context that may help us see the larger picture. I may ask direct questions, follow something that catches my attention, or offer an observation that helps us look at things from a different angle.

You do not need to prepare a story, have a specific goal, or know exactly where you want the conversation to go. Part of the first session is figuring that out together.

Just as importantly, you get to experience how I work. By the end of our conversation, you should have a better sense of whether my style and approach feel like a good fit for you.

What You Can Bring

You can bring whatever feels important, confusing, repetitive, unresolved, or simply worth understanding better.

That might be a relationship, a decision, a transition, a pattern you keep noticing, a question about yourself, or a part of life that feels harder to sort through on your own.

You do not need to decide whether something is “big enough” to talk about. If it has been taking up your attention, it is probably worth exploring.

What You Can Expect From Me

I’ll bring curiosity, honesty, and attention to what you’re saying.

I’ll ask questions, point out patterns or connections I notice, and sometimes challenge you to look at something from a different angle. I may use parts of the Growing Self framework when they are helpful, but I won’t force the conversation to fit the model.

I’m not here to tell you what your life should look like. My role is to help us understand what is happening more clearly so you can make choices that feel more intentional and more your own.

Coaching, Not Therapy

Growing Self Sessions are coaching conversations focused on self-understanding, reflection, meaning, relationships, decisions, patterns, and personal growth.

Although my background includes mental health counseling, these sessions are not psychotherapy and are not intended to diagnose or treat mental health conditions.

If you are seeking therapy, crisis support, or treatment for a mental health condition, you should work with a licensed mental health professional in a therapeutic setting.
